HOW TO REMOVE THE INORGANIC CORES FROM CASTINGS WITH COMPLEX GEOMETRIES AND HOLES FOR THE SAND EXIT WITH REDUCED SECTION
The removal of inorganic cores is a current theme that more and more aluminum foundries are facing and having to manage within their departments. In order to remove these cores with a certain repeatability, the following parameters must be taken into consideration:
• decore the castings at a temperature between 100/80 ° C
• the time that elapses between the pouring and decoring must not exceed 24 hours
• if possible, do not allow the castings to stay in humid environments to prevent them from absorbing too much moisture.
In addition to the complications listed above, the aluminum castings, which are cylinder heads or structural components of the car chassis, have fewer and smaller holes to evacuate the sand. In consideration of the above, it is no longer enough to find the optimal angle to make sure that the sand falls by gravity, but you must have a flexible and versatile system that allows you to vibrate and hammer the casting at different angles.
In the face of these new needs, Artimpianti has fielded thirty years of experience as a foundry machine manufacturer and, above all, experience in the design and construction of vibrating machines.

Strong of this experience, now for 2 years, we offer to the market an even more flexible and preforming solution, the CHROT decoring machine, which is able to hammer, vibrate and rotate simultaneously, all this to compact the machine more and more without having to move the casting on multiple stations. All the parameters for these operations are easily set through the operator panel, depending on the casting to be decored.
Moreover, to facilitate the use of the machine also for configurations with loading and unloading done by the operator, the casting support of this machine is on a horizontal plane.
This new machine is also able to accommodate castings with complicated shapes such as the structural components of the machine frame or suspension support arms.
In order to complete the range of products, the CHROT XL will soon be built for even more voluminous and heavy castings.
